Your adventure begins the moment you land in Nairobi, East Africa's vibrant gateway to safari. After meeting our representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll transfer to the elegant Nairobi Serena Hotel, where you can settle in and unwind after your journey. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the hotel's celebrated Maisha Spa, relaxing by the pool, or simply easing into the rhythm of Kenya.
Optional Experience. If you'd like to start exploring right away, join our Nairobi City Tour. Over three to four hours you'll discover the city's rich history and culture, visiting landmarks including the National Museum, Railway Museum, KICC, Parliament Buildings, and the National Archives.
After breakfast, meet your dedicated safari guide for a briefing before heading southeast toward Tsavo West National Park. The journey gradually trades city skylines for vast wilderness. Covering more than 9,000 square kilometres, Tsavo West is one of Kenya's largest and most dramatic parks, known for volcanic landscapes, lava flows, natural springs, and abundant wildlife. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, antelope, and, if luck is on your side, the park's elusive black rhinos.
Wake early as the bush comes alive. Morning and afternoon game drives reveal different sides of Tsavo West, from the crystal-clear waters of Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles thrive, to the dramatic Shetani Lava Flows and panoramic Roaring Rocks. As the day draws to a close, raise a glass during a memorable sundowner set against the endless landscapes of Tsavo, watching the African sun disappear beyond the horizon.
After breakfast, continue your journey south toward Amboseli National Park. Game viewing begins before you even arrive, with wildlife often appearing along the route. By lunchtime you'll reach Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, perfectly positioned for sweeping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or enjoying the view from your veranda before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is celebrated for its enormous elephant herds, open plains, wetlands, and iconic views of Africa's highest peak. Lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and hundreds of bird species also call this remarkable landscape home.
Enjoy one final breakfast overlooking the park before beginning your journey back to Nairobi. Before your departure flight, celebrate the end of your safari with a farewell lunch at Herbs & Spices Restaurant at Nairobi Serena Hotel a final taste of Kenyan hospitality before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
